I don't believe this is a AdventureBikeRider 'mistake'. But, this files has 9 elements, each with just one in it. Scenic would have joined those segments together automatically. The best would have been if there was only one element, with 9 track segments in it. A track can have several segments element. This element marks the beginning of a track. If you'd like to know more on how this works, open the GPX in a text editor and search for. This person just wanted to have a separate log of each stretch of the way. To be honest, I suspect this was on purpose. This person (or the program he/she used) created a separate track between each of the waypoints. In essence, the 'fault' is with the creator of the GPX file (which is not adventurebikerider I suspect, but the person who uploaded this GPX to adventurebikerider). In the future I might build a function to combine tracks, but not sure about this yet.

Link to the download below and I hope it works ok pasting into here It’s one gpx files but imports into scenic as 7 separate tracks, which is a pain! Yes, the one I am currently trying to plan is a one day route (200 miles) and broken into 7 waypoints. Quote from akroblade954 on December 31, 2020, 19:29 I look forward to hearing your thoughts on why this might be happening and hope this helps. I then dragged and drop this converted file in the Scenic Webapp and imported into Scenic on the phone and it was all there and combined and ready to use or be edited in Scenic as normal.

In the Advanced options, choose Yes for "Connect all segments" and "Merge all tracks" gpx file (downloaded and saved on my Mac) under file #1īefore converting, select the "Show Advanced Options" below the conversion window. Hopefully you can investigate using my link above and advise what you find and let me know, but my work round was as follows: Using online visualizers suggests the ABR GPX generation files are correct. As a test, i tried importing that same file again and am having exactly the same problem with it now as i am having with the current file i am trying to import above. The last time i used an ABR file (back in Sept) it all worked fine.

It seems to be a problem with either my Mac or the Scenic web app or the way it is being imported on the iphone app. I don't think it is a problem with the ABR generation methods they used.

I’ve looked at this in the past and have not find any software that can easily do this. You could try importing the GPX into a GPX editor software package that can join the tracks. If each track in the GPX is one day riding then that’s probably what you want. I’m assuming we are talking about a one day ride? I’m asking because in general I recommend to make one route per day. They should provide the whole track in the GPX. I would have to see the GPX file to be certain, but I assume it’s an error in the GPX generation on Adventure Bike Rider side. Scenic can only import tracks and routes as they are. Im afraid this is not possible at the moment. Pulling my hair out trying to find a way to do this and I do hope it’s possible and I am missing something simple here! These Tracks are short hops between the Waypoints and I would really like to combine these into one route in Scenic. But, you can only import single Tracks out of the gpx file as far as I can see. So I can select “import all” for the waypoints and save them in a POI or Location and view them on the map. These gpx files contain multiple Tracks as well as multiple Waypoints once I have imported the file. For example, when importing gpx files provided by Adventure Bike Rider to support their route publications.

Im a relatively new user of scenic and struggling with importing whole gpx files, containing multiple tracks.
